The Far East Council provides the programs and services of Scouting America to more than 3,200 young people and 1,200 volunteers in Asia. The Council is led by a volunteer Executive Board of community and business leaders and supported by the Scout Executive.
The Council serves the following communities with four geographically divided districts led by a committee of volunteers, each supported by a full-time District Executive:
Pacific Rim District - Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Japan (not including Okinawa), Kiribati, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Taiwan, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
Guiding Compass District - Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Okinawa, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
Phoenix District - China, Hong Kong, Macao, Mongolia, and South Korea.
