Asia East District Committee Meeting/Annual Calendar Review Meeting

posted Aug 8, 2018, 10:28 PM by Asia East

This meeting is a wonderful opportunity to help plan event and meeting dates to best meet the needs of all 32 units currently in Asia East as well as appoint volunteers to take the lead on various events. Attached is the preliminary draft of the district calendar to include dates from September 2018 – May 2020 that we plan on discussing. Please come prepared to voice your thoughts on the calendar as well as some key items that need discussion. They are as follows:

  1. DCM Format Change – to include more discussion and engagement from leaders and volunteers from the district to mimic a roundtable experience. Also, discuss possible DCM day and location changes that best suit unit’s schedules.
  2. The current lag in FOS donations and plan action to bring in more donations.
  3. Membership and recruiting efforts for fall – plans to recruit new scouts and for girl registration come February 2019
  4. Gate list changes for events such as Camp Tama and Fall Patrol-o-Ree
