Asia Camporee
Adventure in Thailand
July 31 – August 6:
This a resident camp of the Far East Council – officially certified by and following BSA standards.    More than 40 merit badge opportunities will be offered –including 7 Eagle required MBs.    Some of the newest MBs developed will be offered at this event.    In addition to the four morning MB sessions – three merit badges will be offered to all scouts – and can be achieved during the camp – Mammal Study; Signs, Signals, and Codes; and Scouting Heritage.   The Mammal Study MB will be focused on the Thai Elephant – with a visit to an Elephant Camp on the last day of the Camporee.    During the week – each scout and adult will also have the opportunity for a full day of a special adventure – with various options – Chiang Mai Mountain Hike, Rock Climbing, or Service.    Each afternoon will be filled with special activity options – Tomahawk Throw, Archery, Science/Tech, Outdoor Skills, and many others.    The cost for the Camporee is $525 – which includes all food, facilities, transport, adventure activities, shirts, hats, patches, medical services, insurance, and program costs.    Some merit badges – those requiring specific equipment and kits will have small additional fees – ie Archery, Woodcarving, Electronics, etc.
