Far East Council announces its new Scout Executive

The Far East Council is pleased to announce the selection of Don Olsen as Scout Executive of Far East Council effective October 11, 2016. 

Don began his Scouting career as District Executive and Senior District Executive at the Utah National Parks Council in Orem, Utah.  He moved on to become a District Director and later Program Director with the Great Alaska Council, Anchorage, Alaska. He was promoted to Scout Executive of the Potomac Council, Cumberland, Maryland and on to Director of Field Service of Glacier’s Edge Council, Madison, Wisconsin.

Don and his wife Christine, have 3 children, 2 boys and one girl and 4 grandchildren. Both boys earned their Eagle Scout award and the daughter married an Eagle Scout. Besides scouting they both love to be outdoors and exploring new areas.  

Please join us in congratulating Don and Chris as they start their new adventure with the Far East Council.
