Camping School (NCS)
Scout Resident Camp Administration
The purpose of National Camping School is
to provide adults with a learning experience and training related to the
operation of council camp. The key staff members will, in turn, train and
supervise other staff personnel in the council camping program.
Council Sponsored: No or minimal cost to the
participant (course, airfare, lodging and meals covered). At a minimum, those attending as official
Scout Resident Camp Directors on behalf of their district must commit to
running their respective camp in 2016, be available to train a successor in
2017, and be recommended by the District Chairman and District Executive. Final
approval authority is the Council Program Chair and Scout Executive. Contact
your District Program Chair or District Executive for additional details.
Pay Your Own Way: For those wishing to
attend but not commit to running a camp, or are in access of council sponsored
slots for their area. All transportation will be an individual responsibility.
